We are seeing a huge increase in failures of these infotainment screens.
After about 1-3 years of use, the glue adhesive will separate from the plastic touch layer and cause a bubble that will get worse over time.
This delamination causes the following issues on your Uconnect display:
- Random setting adjustment
- Unable to control settings, AC, calls, phone, radio
- Erratic or random ghost touching
- Embarassing, unslightly appearance with bubbles, peeling, or delamination.
Of course, this failure happens when you are just outside of warranty. The dealer will present you with a $1,400+ bill to replace the infotainment unit. Of course, you then have to deal with this every couple years.

Wow I wish I would have done this 2 years ago. My bubble is gone thanks to this new screen after 2 years of problems. This was an easy install by me less than a hour in a 2018 scat pack . No more random screen jumping is a blessing to have again. I would say to anyone who has that problem buy this you can’t go wrong if you need this.
Just buy it and do it!! Very easy to install with the supplied YouTube video. Saved pretty much $1000!! Looks beautiful. Took less then half a day to sync up with the system.
Looks great. Not to difficult to install. takes longer to take apart the dash.
I had the dreaded delaminating of my factory screen in my 18 Ram 1500. Found this product through YouTube and decided to take a shot rather than mess with a dealer. Not only is the installation just as easy as it looks in the video, the product is a massive upgrade. Works perfectly, looks better than the factory screen, and got rid of the phantom presses. I did the total install in an hour, INCLUDING the extra 20 minutes I had to spend when I didn’t follow directions. Worth every single penny.
I was a little nervous about taking the screen out of my truck to replace it with this one.... With a little patience and the help of YouTube, I had the new screen in the truck and fully operating in less than an hour. The screen was delivered very fast and well packaged!!!
